Ageing physical servers couldn’t keep up with load — we moved the infrastructure to virtualisation
Compute capacity tripled without buying new physical hardware
The company was growing faster than its server infrastructure: two physical servers were maxed out. We designed and rolled out virtualisation with no business downtime.
The company ran its accounting, CRM and file archive on two physical servers over 6 years old. Updating any one service risked bringing down the rest — there wasn’t enough headroom, and buying a separate physical server for each task was too expensive.
What we did
We designed a Proxmox-based cluster, moved every service into isolated virtual machines, set up load distribution and automatic snapshots before any update. The migration was done in stages, outside business hours.
Result
Overall performance tripled thanks to more efficient resource allocation, without growing the physical hardware footprint. Updates now run with no risk to other services.
