Retail chain, 8 stores
1C froze at checkouts during peak hours — stabilised operations in two weeks
Checkout downtime dropped from a daily occurrence to a few isolated cases a month
A retail chain was losing sales to 1C freezing at checkouts during peak hours. We took over infrastructure support and fixed the root cause.
An 8-store retail chain ran its accounting and sales through 1C on an outdated server with no redundancy. During peak hours — evenings and weekends — checkouts regularly froze for 10–15 minutes, and customers walked away without buying.
What we did
We audited the infrastructure, moved the 1C database to a dedicated server with SSD storage and more memory, set up regular database defragmentation and real-time load monitoring, and introduced an update schedule outside business hours.
Result
Checkout freezes stopped entirely, and report generation time dropped fourfold. The chain moved to ongoing managed support with a 1-hour SLA response time.
